Meet April Foiles
I believe there are many reasons a person may seek out a counselor at some period in their lives. I value that you have experiences and concerns that are unique to you and therefore, understand the importance of listening to your individual story. With an individualistic approach, I believe that we can work together so you can understand your situation with greater self-awareness and identify your own personal strengths, which will empower you to cope with circumstances more effectively.
As a Licensed Clinical Counselor and Certified First Responder Counselor, I have 15 years of experience serving individuals and families in community, educational and hospital-based settings providing assessment, crisis services, case management, therapy and linkage of care. I am available to work with individuals of all ages, couples and families. Several areas that I enjoy supporting clients include depression, anxiety, adjusting to various life changes, stress management, and trauma.
I have recently pursued several additional trainings to expand the options available to you for treatment goals. Along with other therapy approaches, I am excited about the possibilities that training in EMDR, Play Therapy and working with First Responders has allowed for expanding options within individual treatment planning.
I recognize it takes courage to tell our stories and I am honored to work with you during this time. I hope that as a part of counseling, you will experience a greater sense of hope and feel optimistic about your own strength and personal ability to cope with circumstances.
